Over Spring break I mostly was played video games like: Plants vs. Zombies on my xbox. Someone who used to be a neighbor came over to my neighborhood and we had a lot of fun. I went to lots of places with my family and one place is: Clive, Iowa. I went to one of my friends house's to be able to play a game and both of us had a lot of fun.
In class we did tooth traditions and i liked the country Turkey's tradition and This is what they did : The parents put the kids tooth by or in somewhere becoming like that. Example : They put it next to a soccer field and they kid becomes a professional soccer player. Here is what my family does : They tell me to put my tooth under my pillow. They are different and similar in many ways : Like we both put it somewhere, We lose our tooth. My family gets money but Turkey becomes like that certain area.
Here is another vocab I did at school. The words were inequality, negotiate, inspiration, injustice, and plight. Here it is. Here is another one of my vocab's. They are : Gloat, Fame, Agitated, Dubious, and Confrontation. Today we were finding poems that fit : Rhyming, Meter, Stanza, and Line Breaks. Here is the poem that I found.
This is my commercial for Maryland to attract people here. A couple benefits are that it has good weather, is a democratic government, and the amount of jobs. Our catchphrase is 'Maryland, the opportunity for a new beginning'. Today we were working on Settings of Plot and there are 5 things : Exposition -> Rising Action -> Climax -> Falling Action -> Resolution. We got a choice to do it on 1/2 of Pixar shorts and we got to pick which one. Go to mrglade.weebly.com or our class website to be able to watch the Pixar shorts. We also did an Animoto on 4 vocab words and here is mine. I had 10 skittles. I had 4 greens, 1 yellow, 2 purples, 1 orange, and 2 reds. 10 people got drawn for the out of 100 skittles. There were 32 greens, 20 purples, 15 oranges, 21 reds, and 12 yellows. To put percentages on mine I had to put a 0 behind each number. Then behind the 0 in each number was a percentage sign. For the out of 100 one we just had to put a percentage sign. The higher the number the more we know the percentages we know. But, if it is too high it would take a long time and not be worth it. v v Today i did shrinky-dinks and crystals. With the shrinky-dinks we cut a bottom part of a plastic container off and put 2014 and designs on it. We gave it to people to put it in the ovens until it was shrunk. With the crystals we made a 6 sided star with 1 pipe cleaner. I tied a string on it and got a cup with a mark at a certain point. We put the 6 sided star in there and if it was not touching the bottom and under the mark.Then we took it out and filled the cup with very hot water to the mark. Next we put the 6 sided star then took it out and set it on a napkin. We added borax to the water we stirred it. Then we put the 6 sided star in and put it on a napkin and set it on a table. After a day, we took them and they were 6 sided crystals.
